The winter of 2008 shows a great deal of cooling throughout the world. The world has seen record cooling anywhere from 6 years to over 100 years. This seems to show that the world could also be cooling. This can not be substantiated until this summer when those temperatures come in.
In addition the average temperature increase has actually been found to be decreasing and has been since 1998, except for the year 2006 when it hit an record high for the average temperature, which has begun to decrease, since that year, by drastic means. The year 2008 could also be a record low year do to the inconsistant temperature change. Could these things be a fluke. Well considering the trend is spiralling downward and 2006 was singled out as the only increase in temperature since 1998 maybe 2006 would have been the fluke. The fact that it was a record year gives other concerns of how it became the hottest year in the last 100 years.
