PROJECT URBAN REFORESTATION:
CarbonBlueprint.org has set up a large nursery to grow different species of tree. These species differ according to their speed in growth, carbon consumption, and asthetic appeal. This facility grows the trees to the size needed to survive by themselves, not depending on anyone to take care of them after we plant them. This facility is taken care of throughout the winter and trees are prepared for the early spring until the late fall. When they have become self dependant, we prepare them for planting.
We refer back to our Urban Forest Request List and find the right candidate's home to have our trees planted in. Our list is created by sponsors referring people in need to us. Going through a sorting process, we find candidates to house our trees. Depending on their situation, we contact the homeowner and introduce our services. If they accept, we study their houses placement and decide the best placement of the trees. We plant a max of three trees per yards around the perspective home.
Each tree will be marked with a small plaque as a CarbonBlueprint tree, with mention of the person who referred them or an annonymous mention. Each tree will be planted and reviewed over the next few years for our own research if allowed by the homeowners. This research will give us more accurate studies on CO2 storage and consumption, placement, and many other studies.. |
